Eucalyptus can also be useful for pain relief.

  • diarrhoea
  • toothache
  • arthritis
  • rheumatism and stiff joints
  • herpes (cold sores)

External applications:

For Herpes or Cold Sore apply full strength Eucalyptus oil directly on the sore. Repeat frequently.

For Toothache apply one drop of Eucalyptus oil to affected tooth.

Lozenges for sore throats - make a toffee mixture boiling raw sugar and water, then add about 5 drops of Eucalyptus oil after removing from heat.

Alternatively, mix 2 drops of Eucalyptus oil with 2 tablespoonfuls of honey.  Take as required.

Tea: 1 drop of eucalyptus oil to a cup of hot water, sip.  Alternatively use 1/2 teaspoonful of crushed leaves to a cup of hot water.  Good for diarrhoea, respiratory and urinary problems.
